Tomato Pachadi
This recipe is an easy-to-make great side dish ideal for rice, dosa, idli upma, pongal etc and makes worse easier in the rush morning hours. Try this and enjoy.

Yields: Serves 4 persons
Ingredients
- Ripe tomatoes 4-5
- Urid dal 2 spoon
- Gram dal 2 spoons
- Red chili 3-4
- Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
Seasoning
- Asafoetida
- Mustard seeds
- For Raitha: Curd a cup.
Method
Cut tomatoes to small pieces.
Heat oil in a kadai. Fry dal separately until golden brown and remove in a bowl.
Fry red chili.
Fry tomatoes until it mashes well. Remove in a bowl and allow it cool.
After it cools mix every thing in a blender with salt and turmeric powder without water. Grind to smooth paste.
Take this in a bowl.
Season with mustard seeds and asafetida.
This is chutney, if you want to make raita mix a cup of fresh curd and serve as raita. This will be great as chutney as well as raita.
