Moist chocolate cake is perfect for any occasion. This rich chocolate cake with whipped cream and cherries will just melt in your mouth. This easy and quick recipe can be tried anytime.

Makes about 15-20 pieces


  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Chocolate scrapings, cherries for garnish
  • Whipped cream


Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add oil, coffee, milk and eggs. Beat just enough to mix well.

Pour into a greased cake pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degree Celsius in the oven. When cool, spread whipped cream and garnish with cherries and chocolate scrapings.
